VILs to see movie on Monday, March 21
The VILs and their friends are invited to gather in the Genszler Room at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, to enjoy viewing the movie, “The Red Violin.” Popcorn will be served. We’ll also enjoy pies and coffee during an intermission in the movie. If you are able to come, please call the church office at 452-2401 (so we have enough pie!).
If you need a ride, please call the office and we’ll arrange a ride for you.
VILs will travel to Madison in May
Plans are underway for a trip to Madison on Monday, May 16. One of the activities on the agenda is a private, two-hour cruise on Lake Monona, which will include a lunch buffet. There is also interest in stopping at the Veterans’ Museum. More details will be announced, but save May 16 for a wonderful outing to Madison.
The VILs will tour the Kohler Company on April 18
All VILs and their friends will have the opportunity to tour the Kohler Company on Monday, April 18. We will take the comprehensive, three-hour tour and be able to see all aspects of the Kohler Company. This is a fairly strenuous walking tour, but those who have taken it were most impressed with what they were able to see. When you tour you wear headsets, so you are able to hear everything your guide tells you. The tour begins from the Kohler Design Center at 8:30 a.m. There is no cost to take this tour.
The VIL planners suggest that if you are not up for the complete tour, you may consider coming to the Design Center for a look around there and then meet with the touring group for lunch in the Horse and Plow around 11:30 a.m. We won’t make any formal arrangements, but we thought it would be fun to enjoy a lunch together.
Please call the church office at 452-2401 to let us know if you are coming to the tour of the Kohler Company. We would appreciate a call by April 7, as we need to let the Kohler Company know how many are coming on the tour. If you have any questions, please call the church office.
Please note: The VIL Planning Committee is always looking for events and spots of interest for our group. Please let them or the office know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
