Come to our Harvest Dinner on November 8 at City Streets

All VILs and their guests are cordially invited to the VIL Harvest Dinner on Monday, November 8. We'll gather by noon at City Streets Riverside, where we’ll enjoy a delicious meal that Bill and Pam Gottsacker will prepare for us. After our meal, Mary Lou and George Friedley, accompanied by Grace Knolls, will present a musical medley.

There will be a cost of $10 per person to cover the expenses of the meal (including dessert and gratuity). We hope that you will be able to come to City Streets to enjoy this special time of fine food and fellowship. Please call church by Monday morning, November 1 , to sign up.

Church Van can give you a ride

Please remember that our church van is available to provide transportation for you for any VIL event. Please call the office at 452-2401, if you need a ride.

Are you interested in attending the Roseville Passion Play on Maundy Thursday, 2005?

We have received information about the Roseville Passion Play, which will be presented on March 24, 2005, in Roseville, Minnesota. If ten or more people sign up for the tour, a motor coach would stop by church on Thursday morning, March 24. The usual meal and rest stops will be made en route. There would be a stop at the Marjorie NcNeely conservatory for a walk through the gardens before a stop at the hotel and then dinner at a local restaurant. The Passion Play will be presented that evening at the North Heights Lutheran Church. After spending the night at the hotel, a continental breakfast will be served before a visit to the Cathedral of St. Paul and then a stop at the Mill City Museum and the “Flour Tour.” Lunch will be served before the return trip. The cost for all of this is $259/person for a double room or $289/person for a single room. Please call the church as soon as possible if you are interested as we expect this tour will fill quickly. A $50 deposit is required with the reservation.

Could you help plan VIL events?

The VIL Planning Committee welcomes new members to help with our events. We meet about once a month and then come early to help set up and prepare for whatever our month’s activity might be.
