Peace Camp for
8th-12th Grade Youth

First United Lutheran Church and the Hmong Community Alliance Church are coming together for a retreat on June 20-21 to help both of our congregations get to know our neighbors. It will be a time of games and activities that focus on culture, race and understanding. The weekend will be led by Olu Sijuwade, a leader in his community having led Peace camps for the last 20 years. Cost is $20 per person. Please contact Thom Nicla if you have questions.

We plan on leaving First United at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, as a caravan of cars and vans. If you are unable to take your child to camp, please let the church office know, so that we can make transportation arrangements. ~Thom Nicla

Canoe Trip

Make plans to join us as we head to the Sylvania Michigan Canoe Area! We will leave early Thursday morning, August 9 and return the evening of Sunday, August 12. We encourage you to invite your friends! And we are looking for adults to accompany us on this trip, as well. The cost is $240 per person, including 6 meals and transportation. Please register with Thom Nicla by July 1 in the church office!
