SAN ANTONIO UPDATE:

The fundraising for San Antonio has begun! Thank you to all of the youth and parents who sold and made pizzas as well as to all of you who bought them, and a special thanks to Karen Ingels for organizing this event. The pizza fundraiser was a great success and nearly $800 was raised. Due to the short notice not everyone was able to participate, so we’ve decided to hold another pizza fundraiser in November. Watch for more details as we get closer to the date!

• Christ’s Shore Youth Worship Conference

San Antonio parents - we need you to sign up to help sell “Walking Tacos” at this conference on Saturday, September 24. This is a full day event and help is needed morning, noon and evening. Sign up on the “Christ’s Shore” sign-up sheet located at the Youth & Family Ministry board near the entrance of the church.

• McDonald’s Fundraiser

Support the 30+ youth planning to attend the National Youth Gathering next summer by eating at McDonald’s! We will receive a portion of the profits from all meals sold on Wednesday, September 28, between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the McDonald’s located on Kohler Memorial Drive (near Marc Cinemas). We’re holding this fundraiser on a Wednesday night with the hope all of the youth involved in church activities that night will first pick up and/or eat dinner at McDonald’s!

• FULC Flamingos

They’re baaaaaack!!!! Check out the “new and improved” flamingos at the San Antonio table at the Rally Day celebration. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to “flock” the lawns of your friends and neighbors!

• Next NYG Planning Meeting

The next National Youth Gathering planning meeting is Wednesday, September 28, beginning at 6:45 p.m. Pick up your dinner at McDonald’s on your way to church and we’ll start the meeting as we munch on our meals from Mickey D’s! Please note: The meals must be purchased from the McDonald’s located near the Marc Cinema in order for us to earn a portion of the profits! Our goal is that every youth attending NYG be at this meeting and as always, parents are also welcome to attend.

Sunday School Registration

On Wednesday, September 7, at 6:00 p.m., Sunday School registration/orientation will take place in the nave of our church. This meeting will explain this year’s planned events and ways to get involved. We hope to see you there!
