Our Mission Statement:
It is the purpose of First United Lutheran Church,
Sheboygan, Wisconsin, of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America,
to engage as many persons as will share its confession of faith
in a fellowship of worship, learning, witness, and service that
the Word of God is Jesus Christ may become effective in their lives
together and individually, including relationships with other Christian
fellowships and with social institutions at home and throughout
the world.
1934 Statement of Leadership
It is our purpose to be as useful in the service of
our Lord as our ability and time will enable us to be. To minister
to all the needs of our fellow human beings in the Name and in the
Spirit of our Savior is the duty and privilege which we gladly assume.
To those afflicted with pain and suffering, to those who walk in
doubt and uncertainty, to those whose hearts are burdened with sorrow
and grief, to all who long for the ministering in Christ, we willingly,
in Christian humility, offer our services.

United Renewed
to Praise, Care, and Serve
The Vision . . .
We renew our mission as members of a tradition begun
in 1934.
We come together each week to give praise to our Creator
God, the source of life, who fills us with unconditional love and
renews us with hope and promise. We worship in our renewed space
giving praise with our hearts in word, song, and silence.
We come together each week supporting one another
with our prayers for one another and for ourselves. We reach out
and care for those within our community, having received God's care
in our own lives. We share that care with one another.
Following the steps of Jesus, we are called to serve
others, bearing witness to the love of God. We serve others in our
hopes, our work place, our community, and throughout the world.
