Music
The community of First United has been blessed with
an array of talented people, including those with musical talents.
These talents enrich our worship time together. Members of all ages
and abilities are invited and encouraged to participate.
The
"Songs & Supper" program offers children, ages 4 through
14, an opportunity to celebrate their gifts. They share their voices
in either the Cherub or Christus Choirs, use their smiles to touch
a heart, lend their hands to create a gift, and move their feet
to the beat of the drum. The program incorporates singing, drama,
dance, story-telling, puppetry, clowning,
and non-competitive playing. An optional pizza dinner is offered
at 5:30 p.m for parents and children. Each choir sings once a month
and alternates between the early and late worship services.
Adult and senior high youth have the opportunity to
share their gifts through ringing bells, singing in the Sanctuary
Choir, or accompanying the choir with a string, brass, or wind ensemble.
Sanctuary Choir provides music for worship three Sundays of the
month and alternates between early and late worship services.
